Women Leading Change Now 3RD ANNUAL United Nations Commission on The Status of Women69 Round Table Parallel Event added there voices on the 20 Issues Women Are Facing Today. The Round Table introduced a new paradigm to the commission "Parity". Executive Director Right Hon Yvonne E. Gamble challenged the Round Table to look beyond equality measures which have eluded all attempts of gains, but to look at parity in all aspects of life, business and society. "Parity is measurable, equality is not". Women’s rights have improved over the years, but continued progress is not guaranteed. In a time of escalating conflicts, rising authoritarianism and devastating climate change impacts, women face many issues related to education, work, healthcare, legal rights, violence and much more.
